About my gel plate prints:

My gel plate prints on paper reference the internal and external landscape of my ceramic works. The process begins with a first layer of acrylic on the gel plate to construct a first base to gradually build layers of colors and textures building depth and mood. By switching to paper stencils, and handmade clay stamps, I created a dynamic space where gestural forms emerge. The resulting prints are archetypal vessel forms: they are not depictions of my own sculptures more as representational shapes of traditional pottery. I use vivid colors created in layers of transparency that can be seen within the printed silhouette and under the imprints of the stamps.

These prints are 9 x 12 inches. Each presented in a 15 x 12 inch white wood frame.
