I started my ceramic series “To Dress a Ptarmigan” in 2018 in response to the systematic destruction and relocation of my hometown in northern Sweden. This city is being dismantled due to mining faults beneath its foundations. Located above the Arctic Circle, it is named after the resilient bird that thrives in this northern region. The title of the series draws a deliberate parallel: just as preparing a bird for consumption requires careful dismemberment and reassembly, the piece-by-piece relocation of an entire city necessitates a meticulous deconstruction of place and identity.

The series includes several sub-series: Passage, Aurora, Ort, Fe (iron spirits), Oracle, and Earth Shell.
